Hi!  Super happy to tell you all the coloring on Sasquanaut issue 6 is finished, and the lettering is being done as we speak by McLain McGuire.

That means the next Kickstarter is imminent, and I will be posting more in the coming days and weeks with details about the launch.

Issue 6 will be the conclusion to Sasquanaut volume 1.  This story arc will closeout, and I will launch some new projects after that.  More Sasquanaut will come but I WANT YOUR HELP!

I'd love to know if there are any specific types of merchandise you'd like for me to try and make available for the issue 6 campaign. Unfortunately, statues and action figures aren't doable at this time, I've looked, and it's WAAAAAAAAY too cost-prohibitive.  One day I hope.  But what else would you like to see?  A new enamel pin?  Let me know.  Now is your last chance to let me know before the next campaign.

And with the new campaign coming, I will be SHUTTING DOWN THE BACKER KIT STORE THIS WEEKEND!!!

So for the very few folks who have not turned in your surveys, please do so ASAP so we can avoid some confusion once the BackerKit store shuts down. 

Issue 6 Update, Last Call on Surveys for issue 5

Good morning!  I hope you are having a great week!

First things first, a couple of folks still need to turn in your surveys for your rewards for the issue 5 campaign.  I sent out a new reminder this morning, so check your inbox if you're one of those people or message me, and I can send you a link directly.  I want to make one last shipment for issue 5 this weekend and close out the BackerKit store.

Issue 6 is nearing completion, hooray! Issues 1-6 Kickstarter campaign for Savage Sasquanaut will launch  later in September and I expect everyone to come and join the climactic conclusion of this arc. More details will be forthcoming.

I am excited to be closing out this first arc of Sasquanaut and even more excited for what will come with more Sasquanaut and some other fantastic new projects.

All rewards sent! Issue 6 cover reveal

Hello, my friends!  I'm excited to say that I dropped off the final 10 rewards in the mail a few moments ago and every reward has been shipped EXCEPT for the dozen or so individuals who have not answered their surveys.

Also, I believe there may be 1 or 2 T-Shirt orders that still need to be shipped from the manufacturer, but the orders are made and done and should hopefully be in the mail in the next week or so.

I'm excited that this fulfillment process has been completed as there have been so many hurdles this campaign that I have not faced before, most of which I've kept you apprised of.  It's been a learning experience to say the least, and, I believe that I will be better set and prepared for the future campaigns that I am planning.

Speaking of the future.  Here's an advance look at the SAVAGE SASQUANAUT issue 6 Kickstarter Exclusive cover that was drawn by my good friend RYAN KINCAID and colored by me.  

Now, I'm not one to toot my own horn and bang my own drum, but I feel that both Ryan and I knocked this one out of the park.  I learned something new doing this cover, that makes me want to revisit the previous covers and ages I've done and add this new tool/technique to them all to make them all better.  

I'm strongly considering it, so don't be surprised if I tweak the interior page files for the eventual collected edition to make the book pop even more if I can.

All that's left is to do some prep for Kickstarter 6 and bag and board issues that I've run low on, and order more bags and boards (hopefully resealable bags become available as the last 2 campaigns I've been trying to get them and they've been completely sold out).  I'll also need to update my inventory numbers so that I'm prepared for the next campaign and can make sure we're all set so I don't run out of any cover that someone specifically wanting.  The "B" cover by Craig Babiar on issue 5 had an unusually high number of damaged copies of the issue so that particular cover is going to run a bit short on availability.  

I have begun coloring issue 6 of Savage Sasquanaut.  I have not gotten as far as I'd like, the last two weeks or so that I had planned to devote to SS6 have not gone well, and about the only thing that did go right was getting Kickstarters packed and shipped.  

The goal is to launch the issue 6 campaign in SEPTEMBER.  Ideally in the early part of the month, but I'm just going to have to play it as it goes.  So keep an eye out for that.  You can watch my social media, patreon, and newsletter for updates on progress of Sasquanaut and more.

Fulfillment Update

Good morning, I wanted to give a status update for everyone.  

Last week I managed to get about 50 packages shipped out, and I've received word that some of those packages have even arrived already.  That's great!

Amazon managed to LOSE a package that was supposed to be delivered last week of some more packing supplies, and I've had to get a refund and reorder the material after giving them appropriate time to try to find and deliver the material.  So I'm delayed a bit on packing more rewards until the replacement comes in on Wednesday.

I believe at this point, all the t-shirts have been ordered and most of them have shipped, and some have also started to arrive at their destinations.  

My laptop is DEAD.  Replaced the battery, it did not fix it, and after going through and doing some extensive googling, the laptop I had seemed to develop the same problem across the line.  HP knew this but never offered a recall, and basically what has happened is one if not multiple big chips on the motherboard have or are causing shorts in the board.  I did not get it tested to confirm this, but after enough googling and seeing that EVERYTHING lines up to this exact same cause that happens on MANY of these HP Spectre laptops it's safe to assume that is the case.  Fixable, but it will cost as much as...

The laptop I just purchased.  Nothing high end, but it should also arrive here on Wednesday and should be more than adequate to do the tasks I need it to do.  I'll save the graphics and editing for the beast machine in my office.  So with the replacement packing material and new laptop coming on Wednesday, I'm hoping that by Thursday I should be back up and running at full strength for packing and shipping out rewards again.

I apologize again for the delays, but things should hopefully be turning a corner this week to start getting everything out the door.  In the meantime I'm still waiting to get the plumber out to fix the leaking pipe so we can repair and patch the walls, and tomorrow I get to go spend a few hours at the dentist, hooray...

In other news, SASQUANAUT issue 6 is underway officially.  I've managed to color the first 4 pages of the issue and I've finished coloring and gotten in all the covers for the issue.  Looking forward to meeting with Chuck on the rewrites for the issue to make sure everything in the conclusion hits like it should.

If all goes well, the Kickstarter for the last issue of volume 1 of Sasquanaut will launch at the end of August or in early September.  I'm not setting the date yet, this summer has proven to be unpredictable and while I'm confident I can make those dates, surprises could continue to delay my progress.

Laptop Toast

This is proving to be an incredibly challenging Kickstarter to fulfill from all these external problems.

My laptop just totally died and a quick once over at Geek Squad confirmed my fear that it's something internal, but they don't know what. 

The laptop is my central hub for fulfillment and it's toast for now.

So I'm scrambling to create a new plan and get back underway.

I'm sorry.  I promise it will all go out.  I'm not beaten, just slowed down. 

I'll update more when I get a new plan and get it into action.
